I was thinking, When you have kids (or if you do have kids) what are you going to let them listen to? I have a little nephew now, I can already tell he is going to follow me around and try to do everything I do, that is just how little kids are. Knowing that, what are you going to let them listen to. I think mine will grow up on old school, Marvin Gaye, Issac Hayes, the O'Jays, etc. until they are a little older, then I will let them listen to some Big, Pac etc. Of course when they get older they will go to school and just listen to whatever garbage is out about 2020 because their frends do, but at least they will know what some good music is! What do you think?

dont really know.... my kids will be playin piano and drums (as long as its cool with them, aint tryin to force anything on em) from the get so i'm hoping they will be a little more choosy. i will limit certain things but for the most part its an open field...... whatever they like.

I saw this funny stand up skit about what our generation is gonna be like when we are Grandparents from this guy...I think his name was Nick Swardson or something like that:

Kid: Grandpa, lets go to the zoo!

Nick: Tha zoo...fuck that. That's gay.

Kid: Mom, Grandpa called me gay.

Nick: Don't narc on me bitch...and where the hell is my Dr Dre CD?

Funnier when he does it but you get my drift. As far as what I am gonna let my nephews and kids listen too? I don't think it matters too much because they end up falling into whatever is going on at that time anyway. My parents didn't have anything to do with rap and that's mostly what I listen too. I think by the time the younger generation is into music, rap may have turned into something totally different. You'll be trying to tell them what REAL Hip Hop is and they are gonna look at you like how you look at old school cats who shit on the music you like...
