I'm quite interested in the MV-8000 but the fact that the pads are individual makes me wary. I think I'ma wait and see if they stay in good condition or break like the MPC1000 ones.

Well roland doesnt make their products like Akai does. Its people on here and mvnation who have had theirs for 2 years and havent had any pad issues to my knowledge.

Also it doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out that the mpc1000 was built cheap. The Roland MV-8000 build quality is way more sturdier than the 1k and way different designers. I own an Roland VS-2000 and th mv-8000 casing it somewhat similar to it man those things can handle alot. They are heavy and built to last.
