MPC1000 Couple Of Q's !?

Yo

My MPC arrived yesterday and just g ot a couple of questions on it first off, how do i get a bigger sample time, its got like 10 seconds at the mo but as i work almost exclusively with samples i could do with a bit more !
Also can i delete all the preset stuff thats on there to save space and put my own decnet sounds on, ive used the USB once so far to transfer stuff over and that was easy enuff so im just not sure whether i can delete all the stuff that comes on there fill it up with my drums etc ! ?

yah, you can delete those sounds off your internal memory. i think you can do it on the pc ... you should get a CF card reader also, much faster than the direct usb connection to the 1000...

as for the memory, get the 128 expansion.. also, if you want more recording time, i think you just press the window button in the record screen and you can adjust it to the max your ram will allow...

word ! nice one hoppa yea i managed to get those presets off now and get sum decent sounds on there but i hadnt figured the recording time thing yet i just tried it and it works you can get 59 sec just with the 16 meg card so im happy with that for now !

...I actually like some of the preset sets...like the UK Kit and one of the Rock joints....live sounds...Even though the HipHop presets suck...lol

sample mono, drums are mono anyway.
