Ok, I got my beats with Reason 2.5 to swing like an MPC with careful tedious work, but does anybody think there is a huge sound difference between using software and using the MPC?

... MPC sounds seem crisper... fuller...etc. I've used FL and taken it into Cubase...and used MPC tracks and taken them into Cubase... I dunno...maybe it's an issue of hte sounds I was using while I used FL...but I think the sounds are slightly different, not enough to really make a difference though...

It dosent matter it depends on your skill and knowlege. I can show u people with a dope sound using reason and i can show u people with a dope sounds using the MPC.

neither is better then the other(soundwise or anything else) its just personal perfrence

Personally, I think shit always bumps a little "harder" coming out the MPC, but as Classic said, you can get an ill sound using ANYTHING

I have a 4K. I've also heard stuff done on Reason. There is no difference that I could tell. Use whatever you know.

I used to use reason, but when I got my 2000xl, it just sounds better and the overall easiness of it is great. But like people have said, you can make anything bump, if you got skillz!

ps- how do i get a pic. next to my name for the forums?

The bumps are different coming from an mpc... I borrowed my homies mpc4000 for a while and when i put my drums i usually use in fl in the mpc they did sound more crisp... But i then figured its all in how u know how to work your programs... If you add an eq to your shit you can get it to sound that way... I always get people askin me if i use an mpc to make beats... And honestly if i had the money I would probably buy one, but its a little out of my price range for now....

Man i still think really depends on your knowlege and your equiment.

I think the reason why people think the MPC bumps more is this.

Most people who have an MPC have invested time and money into their equiment. Usually they have spend a decent amount of money on a good soundcard to record their tracks etc,,

Most cats on software(newbs) havent invested that type of money in a soundcard etc.. So their shit sounds dull. Honestly your sound is only as good as yoursoundcard no matter what u use.
