Mpc "Invalid file format"

Does anyone know why I get this error on my Mpc when trying to load certain loops and kits I've downloaded? They are in wav format so I don't understand why some samples are invalid.

I haven't gotten that message myself but I have had trouble loading certain files. It just kind of freezes. I can't even preview them. I have no idea. It must be some kind of encoding of the WAV file I guess. Are these files that you encoded yourself?

No they are drum kits and other samples Ive downloaded. I have tried opening the file in Soundforge and saving it after chopping it and I still have the same error. If I chop a sample myself from a song and save it then I dont get the error.

Yeah it's probably the encoding for some reason. Me too, it's drum kit sounds I downloaded.
