MPC 2000XL(the older one) or MPC1000(new one)

I have been lookin around for a great deal on an MPC and I am wondering if it would be better to get an old MPC 2000XL or go for the newer MPC 1000 that might have newer effects etc. . .Both are in the same price range but i cant decide which one would be better.

Get the newer one I would say..

It depends on how your setup currently is, and what features you want. For example if you already have something you use that has good effects you might not need that option on the 1k. Find out the difference between the 1000 and 2000xl, and make your decision from that. Either one is a good pick, but me personally i would go with the newer 1000

i had a 1000 and now ive got a 2000xl and im happier with that, with that said when i had the 100 it was brand new now theres new OS's out for it that give it a lot more featurees, the effects i found were pretty crap and i just used software effects that i already had !
