mpc 2000xl question

when i use the auto chromatic assignment option any other samples i have loaded on the pads are wiped why is this?

where is that located on the mpc?

Because all 64 pads turn to keys, your using it as a full keyboard instrument instead of a percussive drum machine.

so is there no way to keep my loaded samples on there?

save the program before chrom. assign. hehe or else it's back to manual assigning samples to pads again...
