well i own i a 200xl and it's tried tested and true to be a great piece of equipment, the 1000 is a brand new labtop smaller box, i saw a pic on this site, so i'm not sure if it's going to have less sampling abilities and such. So it comes down to what you need it for, check them out on ebay or something, dig around read some reviews, good luck peace.

I use Mpc 2000xl, and i think it's a good tool for learn.
I don't know what the Mpc 1000 can do, and if it's groovin like Mpc 3000, or at least like Mpc2000xl. But for the price, maybe it's interesting.
If somebody have one, please post.

what i read about the mpc 1000 is that it has 6 outputs + the main outputs, it uses a smartcard drive instead of a floppy drive its smaller than any other mpc, But<<<<it comes with internal effects, a usb transport for transporting samples to & from a computer. for a beginner its a great peice of gear, but a novice would use the mpc 2000xl.

you're wrong Nas2000XL... it uses a compact media card, it has 8 outputs and it's not compatiable w/ the 2000 model ie: you cant' make a beat on the XL and edit it on the 1000... so it's worth least... for $800 add another $200 and you can get a XL NEW!

Nas, I don't think anything was deleted because then it would have shown up at the bottom who edited your post. It looks like you didn't type everything in.

i jus been waiting 4 my new pro tools set up finally shipped this monday.. it took awhile cuz of backorder... so my new studio should be officailly running by friday

4000 is sick.... you can resample 2... jus like the asr

the only thing is the manual sucks.... and there some shit that was confusing 2 me..
but i fiquered it out.. if you can buy it

128 different drum programs... thats all i got 2 say.. 4 midi outs.. 2 ins..
8outs... the screen is beutiful.. jus take some time getting used if your like me and want 2 know errythang about it....

the 2000xl is easy.. this is a little different but is 5times as powerful
and the 4000 sampler is real nice... no change in sounds.. at least not as noticeable as the 2000xl
