anyone dismantled a motif rack, or know someone who has? anyone know what it uses for storage, a mini HD? im just curious cause if someone ever succesfuly ripped the motif sounds to there computer or something that would be fuckin nice, cuz then i know theyd be on some torrent website and i can dl

Already been done! You're way late. I got damn near every sound from the motif as a Reason refill. Some Japanese dude did this over a year ago. Same quality as the Motif. It's been on ebay forever.

more like soundfonts or something, wavs are limited, like with a soundfont you control sustain, attack, deley, etc

wav is just like a played sound clip

uh you do know that soundfonts contain wave files right......Load a wav file in any sample and you can control ADSR

yea but you cant get a sample to hold a note unless its the same waveform through the wav, it will just play once or loop if i switch on CRF

now that i think of it wavs would be good to convert to from the refills, when i was thinking of all the effects you can't use on wavs, i was thinking like samples from songs where its not like just one instrument, but since it is like one sound like that then wavs would work nice
