I'm very unsure about what is the best. Has anyone tried the MM6? Or should I cop the standard one? Help!

I played with the MM6 at sound expo (equivalent of Namm in UK) and I wasn't impressed one bit. The mo6 blows it out of the water and if you are looking for something in the price range of the mm6, you are better off with the korg x50 or roland junoG. If you can afford the regular motif es, get that instead, but stay away from the mm6. To me the mm6 is an over glorified casio type keyboard.

i thought the MM6 was just a mini motif but had all the same sounds ?

if your looking for some good sounds on a budget then i'd look at the korg micro-x, i use it and its got sum nice sounds its not got the widest range of sounds nothing really out the box but its good at what it does ! the x50 that afrique recommended is the same keyboard just with more keys !

But isnt the MM6 just a smaller edition of the MO6 with the same sounds? Like the MPC 500 is the little brother to 2000\1000? I can understand what u r saying about MM6 being a casio-play-keyboard, cause I saw the demonstration with the dutch guy. He played it like a kid's toy, hehe, I had a good laugh though:p .
Anyways, do u think I can get a used MO6 for the price of MM6?

nope, well it is a smaller version of the mo6, but same sounds? Not really. The mo6 has 175mb of wave rom compared to the 70mb of the mm6. The difference in the quality of sounds is very apparent. I dont think you can get the mo6 for the price of the mm6, the mo6 is about double the price of the mm6. I would take MarkN's recommendation. For the price of the mm6 you can get a microX (same sound set as original triton plus more). Go to the store and play around with them see what you prefer, you might like the mm6, who knows.
