Yea you should use monitors. Other shits distort the true sound. You should look at the Sony MDR-V700 headphones. You can get a pair for around $100.

Just got back from the NEW Sam Ash. (Clev, its up on RT 22 in Springfield. Gotta check it out. They have blow-outs all the time because they jus opened)

Anyway, I just picked up the Sony MDR-7506's. SWEET. I love em.

You really need some reference monitors to compliment your headphones is what i meant tho....I used to do the same thing where i would only monitor through headphones (stanton-s2000's) because listening back through my shitty pc speakers obviously wouldnt cut it and tha phones i have were a better reference. Once i decided to get some monitors tho, i could really tell what sounds needed to be where, etc. compared to before. I find that a good balance between the 2 work best. I mostly monitor with the KRKs, but if i want to hear close up intricities i pop the phones on.
