Moderators....

lately there's been alot of complains about us moderators been to strict and not allowing the forum to be a forum.... well....

MODERATORS STOP!....DONT MOD. .....

And members... we're going to stop moderatoring for 1 wk. and when all these BS members join....and start spaming and throwing up BS threads.... DONT WRITE US!... and When the beef breaks out of BS.... DONT WRITE US!..... and then after a wk... let us know what you think...if things are better that way, we'll only spot mod. because I'm sure the other moderators want mind the extra time to make beats or just chill.... so enjoy you're wk. of no moderators....

the wk. starts Sun. and ends next Sun. (8th-15th)

I'm not writing this to be bitchy...just trying to prove a point...

Thatz cool it's just that over a year or so you see moderators, and they have been cool for the most part....but recently some kind of get a little carried away with regulating speech a little too much....I understand a moderator doing away with dumb threads or spammers and kind of evening out situations that might be offensive or contraversial....awhile back you never really knew who was moderating unless something totally got out of hand or Fade stepped in...LOL but now everything gets the fuggin comb with some other bull thats all.....

Well, I had 341 unread messages when I checked in, so it seems that I'm not here to moderate as much in the first place.

If people are actually complaining (about moderators upholding simple rules that are only made in an attempt to keep the site going smoothly and thereby benefiting it's members), then a week is not enough to prove a point. A month or 2 will do it though.

Must of us moderators have a genuine passion for the site and it's members. When we edit/delete replies/threads, it's to remove double posting, one worded replies or other replies of no tribute to the thread, spam, unapproved advertising, replies on illegal music/software, full nudity/porn etc. We do so to try and keep every reply worth reading or non-offensive to any of our members (which tends to cause heated, thread ruining debates), or because we are forced to do so by Fade's host, and definitely not to irritate anyone.

I will personally prefer the moderating at Illmuzik over any of the forums (like Future Producers, Ughh etc) any day. I would even choose a little more strict moderating than going to any of those forums, who are clearly filled with BS and worthless threads.

Why don't people use this thread during the week to tell us moderators what we could be doing differently, and then we can take those up to discussion when the week is over. Only serious replies are appreciated. I will personally delete replies that are of no serious tribute to helping us understand what we could differently

You all have good points but I don't think stopping the moderating for a week will do anything but make things worse. I look at it like this:

If a guest, or a new member, or maybe even a potential advertiser visits the forums within that week, and all they see is bullshit - they're going to leave.

So I like the idea of people just posting in here and telling us what they like/don't like about the moderating.
