Mobb Deep dropped from Jive, huh? Do you know that when something bad happens…something good’s bound to come around? Well, for me that’s been the case and if you are Hav and P, it’s true too. I heard that the dynamic duo is being scouted by Aftermath Records. Dr. Dre has been showing love to the east with Busta and Eve and apparently he’s interested in that murda musik. I can’t confirm of course (do I ever?), but I’m hearing some good things. You guys know, I’m on that East Coast bulls**t, but have love for all.

On that note, 50’s interested in MOP – damn right! Since the “industry” doesn’t properly support BK’s hardest group when they are dolo, would you support if they are down with G-Unit? Hey, I smell diamond sales for the Mash Out Posse – the hardest group on earth. (Go ahead and email me about all the group’s you think are harder!)

I know you might be dissin’ my East Coast love rumors…but wait ‘til tomorrow. I got something that’s gonna make you do a backflip!
They keep us talking, but if we stop talking about them then they should worry!

i could get down with this one if it happens.

at this point, i could care less WHERE mop goes, so long as they actually get an album out. g unit woul dbe a decent place to market them, so long as they let them be THEM. i love me some mop.

oh yes i would love it if Mobb went to Aftermath, that would be amazing. to be honest i dont really care where they go - id support them anywhere.

i heard 50 has signed Guerilla Black to G-Unit records...

^^^ the guerilla black thing is HIGHLY likely to be an april fools joke, IMHO

i would be very suprised otherwise. i havent heard of anyone with more questionable credentials in a minute.

Mobb Deep with Aftermath stable of producers will definitly make it easier for them to acheive mass apeall...........Even if MOP signs with G-unit though i doubt they will acheive any main stream sucess with out givin up the rawness that there fan base already loves

nah i think MOP's energy, with the right production behind them, can garner some commercial success, they just wouoldnt be primed for a complete crossover. i can see gold easily with one great single and a video.

Love him or Hate him I think 50's a Marketing Genius and would Keep that Grimey MOP style and still achieve Platinum with them

I would have thought that they had went Gold already, cause "Cold as Ice" was played a whole lot on MTV Europe, and on the commercial danish radio stations...

I was never really a fan of mob deep, I always thought their style was just a bitten spin off of cool g rap, buckshot, & nas. Bitten in that order. They also keep rappin about the same thing over and over and they really have nothing to say any more, that's why all the new stuff from them including the love songs, has been garbage. I think Mob deep is washed up. And if they ever sell records again it woun't be because of tight lyrics.

east coast west coast doesnt mean a thing if there is money to be made, and i dont think they live that hard by their priniciples, cos dre has the means to propell any fool into stardom....

I don't think that Aftermath would be such a bad move for either Mobb Deep or MOP. Even though I like my Grimeys the way they are; I think that they would both benefit from that Dre/Interscope combination. I'm sure that because their styles are so much different from what Dre normally does that they will be allowed to have a big influence on how their music comes out. Also, Aftermath has other producers besides just Dre on the label. If they sign Mobb Deep then Dre will have Havoc also.
I also think that MOP will finally get the promotion and distribution that they deserve. Dre seems to have the magic touch when it comes to bringing out artists and he is not stupid. I don't think that he will try to totally change their styles and lose their already acquired fan bases. I think that these seasoned vets will fit right in.

I don't think that Aftermath being located on the west coast is gonna affect the sound of Mobb Deep.

I'M A BIGGGGG MOBB DEEP FAN...AND I AGREE...THEY GOTTA KEEP IT GULLY. NO CLEAN CRISP SOUNDING BEATS...THAT JOINT THEY DID WITH LIL JON WAS OK...BUT THEY NEED TO KEEP THAT GRIMEY FEEL THAT MAKE THEM MOBB DEEP!
