Nah its pretty hot I need to try and burn it to cd cuz thats where I get my serious listening time in is the car.
How many do you need pressed?
I got a guy who can do it pretty cheap, dependin on what you want. (Serious business)
4-5 years and only 5 songs? Thats priceless. What is he doin commin up with a
concept for each song 3 months at a time? heheh dang.

worst advice...One of the main things that bring life to vocals is reverbs, and having a mono reverb just makes no sense at all. EVERYTHING you mix should be in stereo. Obviously you record it in mono (who the hell records vocals with a stereo mic?? unles you're going for an effect, nobody)

I understand what some people are trying to say here, keep the lead vox panned center etc. But you're not understanding the concept. Yes, generally you will keep the lead vox panned center but after reverbs it turns into a stereo image. If you are gonna stack your vocals numberous times (mostly R&B/singing stuff), then keep 1 panned center, and then balance the other stacks left and right (generally not panned 100% either direction, closer to 50%, but this is all preference

anyways, i know i went over a few things that were already said, but i just thought i would add to it

ur defintely right . i misunderstood the question i thought stress was saying he records in stereo ... what i was sayin is that all ur tracks should be mono tracks .. as in recorded in mono .. i wasnt refering to panning just recording ... becasue trust me there are people who do some funny shit

word. Thanks swiv,,,yeah Ash, I confused myself. I'm actually still confused too..lol..so its recorded as mono, I got that. How is it converted to a stereo signal then. Is that something I need to do on the tweakin part or is there a plugin. Since I been gettin more serious into the recordin and mixin side, I want know,,,everything. I would layout my tracks in the multi(audition), record into there then, edit my vocals(clean, compress, reverb) is there something I'm not doin?

Dude just record your verses in mono, THEN put like a dverb stereo plug in on it.
It will convert it to stereo, or trueverb or whatever ya got handy there...
