Mixing

I know this iz probably a newbie question but its been driving me crazy.

I was using my logic pro program and I started using the automated mixing function.

Now I never really worked with a hardware mixer so I'm kinda confused here.

Is it possible to connect a hardware mixer to my pc in a way that I can adjust certain things like the attack,release,volume and stuff on a track with it?

Example:Like if I turned a knob on the mixer and it adjusted the volume on my track.

Basically I'd like to know if I could assign the mixer knobs to output levels master volume,pan and stuff like that,kind of like a midi learn feature

and if so what gear do I need and how do I cable it together?

sounds like you want either a midi keyboard with knobs on, all radium models do, or a rotary box....

Id go with this for that aits unexpensive and has motorized faders, its the best thing i own when it comes to my mixes in pro tools
