man, fuck equipment wars. i'd make fat beats with ms paint.

however biatches, public beta is out. vsts in maschine and pad link groups for layering. also there's an option for creating new patterns on scene duplicate now, which made loop progressions a whole lot easier...

wouldn't take it on stage, but i've been using it for a month now and there wasn't more than the occasional crash on vst overload. in a daw it's still a bit buggy, but stand-alone is quite stable.

Actually, the failure logo was a joke. Nothing against NI but damn they have been struggling with Maschine. So much that now I'm thinking they should just scrap the project and start back from square one. I'm trying my best to view it with an open mind but it's not looking very good. I'm also starting to think that they are using beta versions to pacify their customers while they continually work on correcting it's issues -vs- making it cutting edge. It really looks like they jumped the gun on it to me, the thing is fairly new but having issues that everybody else had 5 - 10 years ago.

You say "nice logic" but whats the logic in buying a piece of gear that you have to constantly wait on updates? At this point, I wouldn't even call "making it stable" or adding "time stretch" to it an update, that ish should of been done from the start. They should be working more on "new" innovations for it. The way they are going, someone else is gonna come out with something better without all the issues and they will still be playing catch up.

It really is a good thing that I didn't jump on the Maschine bandwagon because right now I would be one pissed off customer. Thats my logic =)

ha ha,

WOW not even close, they work fantastic as is and out sell MPC's 10 to 1

If they NEVER updated the software I would feel that I have a great value in Maschine, and how is a public beta pacifying customers?

And you know the public beta of FL is a mess right now as well. They update FL all the time, why didnt they make it cutting edge to begin with?

Also lets look at all the issues with the MPC5k as well as MV8800, the 8800 is all but dead and the MPC5k had WAY more issues than Maschine ever did.

Maschine is one of the most successful products of the year from both a review, customer satisfaction and sales perspective. Really your ONLY issues with it is time stretch. LAME!

ha ha,

!

because they are waaay cheaper. They also appeal to a generation that relies more on software, but would love an old school feel well as visa versa
