Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit. I am going to get one next week. I want to bang out about 100 more beats on the MPC and then I am going to get rid of it and focus soley on the Maschine.

Anybody here got beat vids of them using their Maschine? Post them joints!

I've recently bought the Maschine myself and I love it...
I come from years of use of MPC and I felt at home using the Maschine.
It still lacks something in the sampling section, and that was a major turnoff to me, but the next upgrade is coming soon and it'll have a whole lot of features!
NI is doing a good work keeping up with customers suggestions!

the best thing with the Maschine is that once it's connected to your computer you can use the controller as if it was a MPC: without the need to look at the screen of your comp ever!

with something I meant mainly desctructive sample editing and improved slicing features.

I wouldn't worry about that much though, because they are adding those features and many others with the next update.

as I said I'm very impressed about how NI is listening to customers feedback on their forum.

the 1.5 version of the software is now in public beta testing.

from the NI Maschine official forum:

The update (1.5) will include the following improvements:

New and improved features:

Performance page with eight assignable "Macro Controls" per Group
Host Automation support
Support for MIDI Continuous Controller and Pitchbend
MPC program import (500/1000/2000(XL)/2500/3000/4000 models)
"Consolidate Audio" copies all project-related files into one folder
Enhanced slicing with editable markers and new "split" mode
Destructive audio editing with trim, normalize, copy/paste, fade etc.
New "Project default" preferences including project template
New "vintage sound" MPC 60 and SP1200 emulation modes
16 Velocity Levels mode for controller
New effect algorithm: Grain Stretch
New "Add to Sample Map" function in browser
New "Copy Sound without Note Events" option
Adjustable polyphony limit per Sound
"Direct Monitor" option in sampling mode
MIDI export for patterns, including Drag and Drop to host
Improved event editing via controller
Improved waveform navigation via controller
Various other enhancements

If it literally has all the same functionality as the MPC (and I mean in the way its workflow is executed as well) then I would most def finally sell the beast off and cop one. Im still waiting to hear how the update is for Maschine tho cuz I keep reading about it lacking in features.

Word, Im also concerned about how well it integrates into Logic tho as well. Technically what would be ideal is if apple just made a controller like this solely for Logic kinda like the APC40 or whatever its called for Live. Cuz Im not really interested that much in being restricted to the NI's software to sequence and record everything.

For something like that, Id like to be able to place each part sequenced inside Maschine onto their own respective tracks in Logic afterwards....Would that just be a matter demixing by note, the same way you would do it if you were using Logics native sampler?

No a sequence.

So you're saying it is just like using any of the instruments in Logic but instead of a keyboard to control a synth, you use the Maschine to control the NI synths and samplers?

And the Maschine has controls that will do things like stop playback or record in Logic and such...
