Maschine Mikro

Hey guys, I've been thinking of getting something like a Maschine to produce on especially when Im writing hip hop stuff. Is the Mikro worth it or should I just dish out the extra for the bigger version?

I haven't used the Mikro but I've used the MK1 and MK2 versions. From what I know, the Mikro is pretty similar, it's just some of the knobs and pads on the unit are missing since it's a smaller version. I think you can still access everything in the software from the hardware like with the bigger versions. But remember that it doesn't matter which unit you get since the software is the same.

Thanks man, I just imagine the extra screen and knobs would make the workflow so much faster than with the Mikro. But I wouldnt know cos I 've only seen them both very briefly

I think the Mikro is just for those on a tighter budget but also for portability.
