Is anbody using maschine as a standalone with hardware synths? How?

I have a JV-1080 that I still LOVE and ever since the 1.6 update I have taken to using maschine as a stand alone rather than a plug in inside logic...If I could send midi out to the jv 1080 and record audio into the maschine that would be awesome!

Honestly dude, I would use auto sampler to grab the patch and turn it in to a Kontakt format. But you CAN route midi out of maschine and have the audio playback in real time. But it is NOT a DAW, so you may be better using maschine as a VST in Ableton or something.

yes, this is very nice to do, maschine actually made me want to use some hardware again, sync sampling is your friend

midi out to the device, have the audio outputs hooked up to your interface, when you want to record a part, just set it to sync record for however many bars you sequenced it, it will record a perfect loop of the part :)
