What I'd like to see (unless I'm missing something here) is to be able to copy a pattern then mute out certain sounds like taking out a snare for example. When I do this now, it mutes it across all the copied patterns. Not cool!

why don't you erase the events in the copied patterns instead of muting the sounds?

That's what I've been doing but it's much simpler to just mute them at certain points.
