questnvr, did you check out any of the articles on here? There might be something you're looking for:
https://www.illmuzik.com/articles.php

But the only way you'll really learn is with lots of practice. You can also go to the Roland site and check out some of the documentation there, I'm sure they have something:

I think wavelab is the best audio editor out there, it reads almost every format out there and you can master your tracks with it.
I also use it for sampling.
I'm a wavelab addict.

check it out.
I must say it is not cheap, but worth every penny.
I used to use soundforge but since I came across wavelab I never used it again although it has almost the same functions.

I use wave lab 3.0 what's the difference between 3.0 and higher versions ie 4.0 , 6.0

It has so many good functions.
I use it for " mastering", sampling, etc......

I also started doing this: dumping parts of my live dj sets (recorded wit my portable mini disk) into it and "cutting" the 1 long wave into seperate cd tracks. And burning.

Wave lab is the best. What advantages would using the hhigher versions have?

wavelab 6 doesn't excist.
there is just a new version: wavelab 4.1
if you use the link in my first post you can read all about it.
I also made mixtapes and edited them in wavelab.

yo fantom, not ot digress from this thread: but when you edit the wav like that, and then burn it, it plays seamlessly right? you can do that with wavelab?

does that work just for cd audio, or can you burn mp3 discs?

Not sure about burning mp3 discs. Never done that . Actualy I should have clarifyed I don't actualy burn str8 t from wavelab ( it won't recognize my cd burner) I actualy save each track as a individual wave file ( it has a function to do dat) in a folder then burn the contents using easy cd creator (came wit my comp).

that should be possible, but wavelab is an audio editor/mastering program and not a burning program.
the burning function is to create back ups or master disks.
I think you can burn any file type you want but wavelab costs about $500,- and I think that is a bit expencive for burning software.
