makin' a beat!!!!!!

It takes me about 3-4 hours to create and polish a beat. Sometimes i might take breathe of fresh air in between to clear my mind and get new ideas. I might just sit on a incomplete joint for weeks, do some new tracks, and then finish the incomplete one.

And i dont know how the phuck yall can make a beat in 5 minutes!

yall gotta be exaggerating . I can make a ill drum beat in 5 minutes. But then u got all the other shit you need to add to make a hot track. U can tell Swizz Beats makes 5 minute tracks cuz they sound like a nekket unorganized beat. Sometimes he doesnt even make the track. I'll givem props sometimes, but he still be slackin.

i dont see myself doin even a 1hour track unless i got a vision.

5 minutes tracks always need improvements.

i don't think i have a finished track yet,i start makin a beat,when i get like fifteen of them i burn them on a cd and keep it in my walkman,when i'm on the train i'll listen to them over and over then when i get home i'll put my tweeks and ideas on the beats but i find new things everyday

i usually make a rough draft in an like an hour but it takes a like 3 or 4 days to add effects arrange,export audio,andblahblagh i would say i drop like 1.5 beats per week..im very particluar about sound quality i tweek beats i made made years ago evryday.

I usually already have a sample or a melody ready when I start a new track. usually I will bangout th drums and get them tight. Then add the melody, sample or whaatever else I had planed. Really very rarely will I finish a beat in less than a month. The only exception is if I'm writing to lyrics which makes it a bit easier since lyrics can set the direction you need to go next. It's kinda like directing a script you already know how it should be so makes looking through samples easier. Tell the truth though I've been known to find beats from years ago on old 4 track tapes and redue them cause I never finished them. Take your time when your done you will know it.

I SEEN SOME OF U SAY U SPEND 5 MONTHS ON A BEAT!
