M-Audio Audiophile 2496 HELP

Man, I'm having this problem with my audiophile that is killing me. Yesterday I purchased my Events TR-8 (which sounds lovely by the way) and I hooked them up and I was trying to control the audio from the m-audio software mixer that came with my soundcard, but it wouldn't let me. I was wondering if anyone knows why this is happening. It will only let me control my audio from the Windows Xp sound and audio settings and that's annoying ass hell going through the control panel all the time. Thanks for one with advice.

ok i hve m-audio firewire 410 and event Tr8's also. I thik the sotfware mixer is simplar if not the same.

Are u routing your outputs correclty in the software mixer(meaning you have the righ outs selected) If u can do a print screen and attach it so i can see. THe m-audio mixer is kinda complicated and i bet its something real small.

Yo, I'll have to take a screen shot when I get to the house, I'm at work right now. I believe I am routing them right though. On my soundcard I have 2 in and 2 outs and I have then in the out going in to the 1/4 in the back of my TR-8. Also when I do have the software mixer up, it shows the audio moving up and down in the wavout 1/2 part. but my master audio doesn't show anything moving up and down. I also can't control my master audio under the window default audio and sound settings. I'll be sure to send you that picture class.

No Problem man, I had the same problem when i first got my 410, that software mixer is pretty tricky at first but once you figure it out, its the shit.

Hey, I'm thinkin about coppin the 2496 soundcard. Is it worth the purchase. I know it is money-wise, but what's the pros and cons?
