*feels your pain.
when i was a (literal) "backpacker" (i hate that term), i was living in a trailer and had a dope, brand new red bag. i had a pretty big tape collection-not 200, more like 60 or so-
but i had soundbombing 2, liquid swords, high and mighty, the pillage, 36 chambers, all eyes on me, muddy waters, illmatic, the score, ready to die, several bone thugs albums, wu forever, murda muzik, its dark and hell is hot, like 5 wake up show dubs, dilated peoples, saafir, atliens, aquemini.. i had a lot of dope classic (to me) material.... i also had a big box of cds to sample- your usual classical and soul cd's you get for 2 bucks....
and one of the neighbors broke in when i left, and took everything- even took liquid swords from the cd player and left the cd player. i was lost for months. all i had left was the mos def and pharoahe monche that i had just bought and taken with me when i left.
i KNOW what this is like.... sorry man!
on another note, until you get your colection back up, get Raphsody online and you'll spend like 10 bucks a month an dget access to pretty much every thing you lost, and it'll cost 79 cents per song to burn to disc. that way yuo can build up your collection a little cheaper- and only the tracks yuo want, no filler cuts.
