long time without my gear

yo waspopin illmuzik....... im spending a few months in nyc and i don't got a single piece of producin gear wit me.......its been six weeks now wit nuttin.....no equipment.... i think im goin insane........has anyone else been a long time without any equipment?... i feel like im goin through crack withdrawal or sumthin yawl....lol....... i got issues.... i miss makin beats..... ive taken up reading novels as a temporray hobby til i get back...thats just sad... i just wanted to see if anyone has shared my pain

yeah. I was locked up for a month and all I could think of was "i wish I had a key board or somethin in here" oddly enough i did the same thing I was reading at least a book a day.

I'm goin' through tha same sh*t now.My MP is in tha shop without my MP i can't do sh*t but sit in front of this PC. It ain't been as long as you to thou. What's makin' this so hard is that i listen to yall katz bang out i want to also.........

yeah. . . i am on holiday in the uk. . . .havent had my gear in 3 mths now...but im buying a 4000 in a week..... i have to...im loooosin it!!

Use the time to listen to more music you normally wouldn't have time to listen to and write some lyrics, to help you get thru.

i was on vacation fo a couple month with nutthin but a pc so i downloaded fruity, got good with it, and found illmuzik, so i cant complain, and looked up some information on the internet bout da bizz, and recordin and da regular ish we look up.

i sold my mpc and motif rack to get my pc setup, which i just completed. it took two months.

i pawned my first setup- boss dr 202 drum machine and sp 202 sampler, along with a yamaha 4 track tape mixer- for 90 bucks like 3 and a half years ago, and i couldnt get the $$$ in time to get it all out, so i was without it for like 7 months until my boy encore bought it back from the pawn shop, and thats how we got started again. it sucked REAL bad at the time, but we were mad creative when we got it back.

it is good to have a month or two off once in a while- that hunger builds up and you just explode once you get it going again. you will drop fire when you get back on, gauranteed.
