Load/Save - MPC2KXL

ill o.g.
(My computers broken right now, im at my uncles house. So if i dont reply for a while, im not ignorin you.)

Im got just about enough money to buy this 2KXL off this kid, but i got one question about savin and loading first. You load your samples off the floppy or zip, and then when you wanna save your beat what do you do? I know ill figure it out once i get the MPC, but i just wanna know first. Do you take out the sample disk and put in a blank and save the beat to it? And next time you load up the beat, do you hafto load up the samples from the sample disk? Or when you save your beat, it saves the samples with the beat?

If you dont get or understand my question then tell me, ill try to put it in better words. But please try and answer it. thanks

there is a thread that explains all of this.
any way, you load up all your samples in the mpc that you are going to use for the song that you are making. once your song is complete and you are ready to save, there is 2 saves you have to do.

1 save all sequences
2 save all programs and sounds (apr)

then remove disk. if you did everything right everything you saved should load back up.

Thanks nas,
if you or anybody else can answer this though, that would be good.

so you save all sequences and all programs and sounds to a blank disk. About how much space does one beat take up in megabytes (mb)? Or if you dont know how many in mb, about how many beats can you fit onto one floppy? How many on a 100mb ZIP?

Thanks

you will be better off with a 100mb zip cause you can save way more on it. if you use floppy then you may need 2,3 or more disks just to save one song.
