Well, i think they are definitly "good at what they do." They are definitly sellin records and for that i show love. Some of the producing done aint bad, the flow can sometimes be hot and it gets catchy. So, yea i think it is hot right now. People all have a different definition of hip hop. I don't think that "they" are really hip hop. But what they do is definitly getting a good outcome.

yeah, instead of sayin somethin negative, i think ima add a thing that sach-mo used to say - he would say it like this: " Theres only good music and bad music, good music will make your foot pat like this, bad music is jus bad music"....I always seem to agree with that.

Auight...whats funny...while u do have outkast for instnce....the cats that like lil johns style hate outkast for being commercial and vice versa....Me personally, I think its ok but, iv'e heard a lot more that was way more music driven, that I like personaly.........Sometimes the killa iz the catchiness, next thing u know hiphop will start spitting out NSync type bands, because thats what people grow accustomed to....I guess now with the simplicity of South music, do u think hip hop will take a very drastic turn and just become plain commercial, no concepts except hey lets party? No ede @ all?

Scarface actually brought some real musical ability and arrangement and proved his production worthiness, so did Outkast<----before they completely lost themselves to fame and hollywood...(what a fuggin shame)....anyhow a lot of this South Krunk music is good if you just want the Bass and the beat.....I dunno what to say about the arrangement or the melodies whether a lot of actual thought goes into some the stuff I have heard...other than letting the synths and tekno sounds carry it.....I think Krunk is more for the bass, the beat and catchy hooks and the club....I mean I love Krunk but a lot of it is pure garbage and has slightly injured listeners ideas about what hip hop needs to sound like....I know that's a critical statement but it's how I see it....even though it's in demand and the major labels are investing it because it sell records so the bottom line looks good...

^^^to me its more smart then it is sad. dont u wish you could day 3 words and get paid. shiiiiit. he is the king of the krunk meanin not tooo many people can do what he does the way he does it...so... hes the only one with that product and alot of people like it. so most likely anything he puts his voice on will get listened to by alot of people.

Sure, who wouldnt want to get paid for 3 pathetic words...but as an artist, well he doesnt really seem to be an artist...sorry, but any regular joe can yell 3 words in a song, i dont see lil jon really evolving from that is tha thing...to me thats sad.

Yo i wasnt 'hatin' for future reference, i was jus tryin to shine some light on somethin that most people dont want to mention or think about concerning this typical example of south style music - ie. "lil jon"....I clearly understand theres alot of talent existing in tha south and dont front on its potential....

The Dungeon Fam got it locked UP! to me, that's what dirty south is all about.
But for the rest, well, sometimes, there beats are tight, but a lot of times, the beats are all so similar its sad and agravating to know they're making MAAAAAD cheddar off of them.
