it's the money. A successful label can make make 10-100 times more than what a successful artist would make. If you own/run your own label, you're pretty much at the top of the food chain.

Its all a front this industry,,,,regardless of how much "bling" these cats got,,,they ain't makin that much dough,,,,,artists dont make shit, unless they are on tour.
