alchemist, hell yea.
i think they use that shit becuz its simple. realy yo. press the track you want. then instrument you want. sequence 1. play it. seq 2. play it. seq 3. seq 4. se.... ...seq 8. play it. Assign to individual channels. playback. record on multitrack. mix. Your Done.
If any of yuo ha s been to the
www.rolandus.com page and watched the last video demo for tyhe mv8000, you know what im talkin about. That shit isnt half as simple as the ASR's and SP1200's and all that. Its fuckin computer whiz shit. Ive been makin beats for a couple years and i can read most spec pages and understand it. But the guy doin the demo is talkin like:
"And if you press the third button to the right and following the quantize you resample to 24-bit on the internal mixdown that was copied to channel-4, then you can multisample an octave higher on pad bank b, which may be accessed through the menu on the mastering section."
And i was like, What the fuck is this guy talkin about?! I dont know computer geeks who are that fuckin bad! Who the hell is gonna wanna make beats like that? A fuckin rocket scientist who's on vacation?! I dont know. thats just fucked up. I know that roland is tryin to do this "all-in-one" type-shit. but i hate that. Id rather have a rack full of shit and modules takin up half my room, and i gotta be trippin over records and cables to get to the recoiver to turn my shit up. I dont want to sit in a little room wit my all in one mv-8000.
anyway. im sick of typin. goin to smoke. see you later.
peace
