why does kanye act like he is God's gift to hip hop? this man is so damn arrogant its sickening..... he is always big-uppig his flow, and while it isnt bad its certainly not keeping mc's up worried..... especially on thru the wire..... i know his jaw was wired shut (hence the name, as well as the sample) but damn cant he re-record that now? its horrible...... and these magazines are like "this man recorded the song while his jaw was wired..." like its impresssive..... if it were (a LOT) cleaner then yes i would be impressed but he sounds like he just got out the dentists office........ he sounds like i would expect a man to sound with his jaw wired shut! they were talking about how he was having difficulty getting distribution for it and i heard it and figured, well, i wouldnt distribute it either! not like that......

and am i the only one who doesnt think this guy is anywhere near the "best producer on the mic" crown? lets see.... rza, diamond, both outkast members (ever see the credit "earthtone 1" or "earthtone 3"? thats them...) dj quick, pete rock (his mc skills aint all that great either, but he is better than kanye!) etc..... just my opinion..... anyone agree?

kanye's sick no doubt about that...one of my favorites...but i do agree about him being arrogant. the worst is how this guy is on the "im the first producer to sample soul and everybody has to bow down to me" tip and that bugs me, not just because i heavily sample soul but because it started way before his time. if anything its a whole genre of producing....rza pioneered it, most underground producers have done it, and kanye and blaze have made it commercial.

Kanye Does Seem Arrogant But who Cares, His Beats are blazin. Oukast are produced, or WERE produced by organized noize. They probably added there input a couple times and got credit as producers, I highly doubt they are actually making the tracks. Rza beats sound sloppy and sequeneced off beat to me, I never saw the hype about alot of his shit, he has made some dope beats but most of the time I aint feelin him.

even most of the sythensizer type beats u hear today from like the neptunes...the first crazy sythn record had to be the bobby digital record....like crate raider said, other proiiducers took rza's techiniques and gave them a mainstream appeal..which is hard enough to do in itself, im not dissin kanye,but in no way is kanye an "innovator" he more like a remixer if u ask me

What? Soul Samples coined by the rza? Pete Rock/Diamond D/ Ali Shaheed muhammad etc etc were all using that back around the same time. He may have inspired just blaze but to say he started that is a little much. As for the synth thing? No, Mantronix inspired most of these synth beats right now. The sped up high hats all the synths etc. I gaurantee anybody from many fresh to the neptunes will credit them for that.
