ok i must admit i havnt been to a show in way to long but this was fuckin the bomb. ofcourse i was right at the front and they were rockin shit. mos def one of the best things ive experianced. only one cunt in the crowd (who security delt with) but everyone else was there for a good time and it was.......it was.....almost inexplainable. im pretty sure i tore ligaments in my throat or something haha.

Lif did Live From The Plantation....which was awesome.

they finished of with Daylight from Aesop Rock's Labour Days. the crowd went nuts! was so phat.

got a signed Mr. Lif Live At The Middle East CD and got my T-shirt signed by Aesop. was good just to shake their hands and say good job.

Anyway.....it was the phattest thing you could ever imagine....so dont front lol.

I got to see Goodie Mob with the Roots. After Goodie's set, Cello came over and hung out in the crowd with us to watch the Roots do their thing. He was cool as hell. Afetr the show I asked for Black Thought's autograph, but I didn't have a pen and neither did he. Needless to say it was a phat experience.

I used to work at the Wherehouse and we had a lot of in-stores. The first group I meat was Das EFX and ONYX. It was wierd becasue I was taller than all of them. Glad to see you had fun at the show.

Too bad there was one ass there. There's always one.

I remember when i got into Hip Hop....it was glastonbury 5 years ago. I was young and going through the "goth" phase that seems to frequent our misguided youth today in britain. And Haze said "lets go see Cypress Hill man.....And to this day, still, i havent been to a better gig ever! The atmosphere was absolutely rocking, for thos who dont know what glastonbury is, it is the Worlds most famous outdoor summer festival, held on the last weekend on June, it is all about, and i mean ALL ABOUT, smoking weed, that is the festival. So, anyway, Cypress were tearing the place apart, and everyone was blatantly smoking in public. In move the PIGS, ring off the whole crowd, whilst B Real is spitting his shit. They finish off, see the pigs, and start playing "Eye of the Pig" sticking it to every pig in that crowd "THIS PIG, THAT PIG" whilst everyone if throwing there "mutherfucking spliffs in the air" off back the police.....absolutely amazing. oh and i was on the camera flyover on TV.

I remeber I was at a show when I was a SR in High School. This was back in 92. (Watch the old jokes!) lol I was there to see Nice and Smooth. The show was crazy. First it was only Smooth B. Greg Nice was runnin late. The crowd was gettin a lil crazy so Smooth B. did the show by himself,,,,then Greg Nice showed up and they re-did the show all over together! It was sick as hell,,,thenthey're dancers came out and jus rocked the stage crazy!!!! It was a dope show,,,,,,was it my favorite? One of em,,,but I did see Run DMC and JMJ(RIP) back in 99!!! Needless to say,,,they are the KINGS! ....................But thats a whole other story!

my boy was hed of the entertainment division at suny albnay..where i went to school so i got to work crew on all the concerts....gave dap to redman...smoked a blunt wit mr. vegas.... shook all of g unit hands... said what up to razel... i also got to smoke and chat it up with rza, blavck knights, and killarmy when i went all the way out to vermont to see a show. rza asked the crowd if they had weed and i guess i was the only cat throwin blunts at them so they invited me backstage for a bit..was the coolest shit ever.

Yeah the perceptionist album should come through this year, i heard it would be around may, but lif en akro rocked the stage, hope they come back again.
One of the best performances I've ever seen was masta ace with wordsworth & punch i believe, yo man masta ace rocked the show for over 2 hours, freestyles were off the hook, i've seen a lot but masta ace is for sure in my top 2 concerning live performances.
A while back i also saw the cunninlynguists and cashmere and the also rocked the joint from top to bottom..

yeah i love that shit too. I think tha Jux crew has a awsome presence on stage. They seriously add a very old but new element to hiphop.
If youve never had tha opprtunity to see these guys live like mess and me, then go and cop tha dvd with tha rjd2 remix cd...that movie has sooo much dope shit to watch and soak up. They show how they produce, what they think about tha status of rap, opinions on Bush, sick freestyles....a ton a other shit just caught on camera. REAL HIPHOP BABY!!!......NO MTV BULSHIT trying to define what rap is here!!!

i went to the hiphop summit in philly this past summer. man they had the diplomats, freeway, run dmc, russel simmons, musiq, swiss beats, redman, floetry, nore, douggy fresh, ll cool j, and others. me and my boy was sitting right over the door that they came through to enter the stage. that was`nt good enough for me so i left the seats and found the door that would take me to the vip section which was where all them jokers was chillin. i went down and walked through the door and blended in with them kats. at first i was scared i might get caught and get throwed out. but after chillin for about 5 minutes i started to relax .
i then signaled up to my boy and he came down also. yo it was wild. we shook hands and took pictures of a lot of them cats before i ran out of film.

HAHA listen to you all braggin about whose hand you shook and how all of these underground cats are big superstars and what not. They are average dudes like you and me. It is cool to congratulate them on their acconplishments but c'mon. I know some of these cats that you are talkin about, and they crack on people like some of yall all the time. Dont get me wrong, I like to hear good stories about shows, but some of you jock emcees for the wrong reason.

yo phonetik, ain`t nobody jockin them kats. when you have been doing this game for some years there is a certain accomplishment that you want out of it all. just to see these guys in a position that you want to be in just makes you want to work harder. so yea you go up and shake their hands and congradulate them on their success while in the back of your mind you are saying, damn that could be me.

ive seen krs-one in '97, with his dj, cuttin up on three sets and the 2 b-boys from the step into a world video breakin besides of him. damn that was ILL. show started @ 8 o'clock in the evening with about 6 opening acts, and it was about midnight when he entered the stage with a wild buku-buku...craaaazy. was my first big live jam, and since that day im like addicted. some nice memoires peace

Problem is: People see all tha fancy cars and jewelry and think that they are sooo much different and higher livin then you - when in reality theyre just some goofy lookin fool name terrance or some shit actin tough playin a role. That shits acting man.
Problem is: People are good actors more than they are musical artists.
