just got my pc... need cubase and kontakt help...

wel,i have been pouring over the cubase pdf files, read the kontakt manual, and i am stumped...

it will be at least a week before my m-audio card arrives, however i would like to be able to at least get the hang of drum programming for the time being. will i need the actual midi input to do this? i cant get anything with the mouse. i can play with the linndrum machine, but i cant seem to find a way to sequence it...... i cant get the step to work, etc...

also with kontakt i cannot get the stupid thing to load a ful screen, maximized. i cant here a thing and i have been trying to figure out how to get any osund to come out of it and its frustrating... its been a few hours.... any help? pointers for these issueand any other getting started type problems would be helpful...

yeah wit the cubase joint u need a source of control to fuc wit the vst's. it wont work as a standalone device..i had the same problem when i first got it..,,i have no experience with kontakt.

well, cubase problem solved... you have to create a midi event and then select the drum editor..... kontakt anyone?

Truth,

You have to load Kontakt as a virtual instrument in Cubase, then you have to select Kontakt as your MIDI device on a MIDI track in Cubase.

You don't have to run Kontakt separately, though, Cubase will load it for you.
