Just Blaze did have them drums bangin. I dont understand what he means about making a beat on protools is differnet than the Mp. I thought you use both? thats what i do. but with Adobe Audition.

Apparently wednesdays MTV has hip hop night. I only watched last night because as I flipped thru I saw them interviewing Pimp C from UGK from prison. The show last night was a look into Houston which MTV called the "The new home for southern hip hop". They interviewed Mike Jones, Chamillionaire, Paul Wall that guy is short, Slim Thug, Scarface, the joker of houston rap Chingo Bling, and UGK. The show of course sucked, but I would like to see the other "Lab" spots in the series because I have only seen the Swizz Beats.

i was watchin the hip-hop countdown shit like 20 minutes ago. Around 12:00-1:00 and it was right before they went to commercial.

I never seen one before. They just started playin it.

Just Bleezy is a monster, but he aint really telling anything that is not out the ordinary or a secret. Now how u get that kick to sound a certain way is totally different then just seperating tracks.

I just saw Alchemist's in the Lab on Mtv. He didn't really show any secrets, but he spoke about his process of brainstorming. Another thing he said is that he likes to mix down while monitoring through a boom box because he said that is the hip hop sound that he is most familiar with. Likewise, he doesn't worry too much about mistakes in eq or chops because to hip hop's beauty is in its rough edges. he said leave perfection to R &B.
