I haven't heard anything else from this kat but if it all sounds like this song i think im going to cop his album. let me know what you think.

I read his story, in I think Scratch, and he used to be roomies with Kanye's cousin or Kanye's Cousin's boyfriend or something like that, and the cousin or whoever liked John's stuff, and told Kanye's mum, who I think hooked them up. Then he's been singing on a lot of Kanye stuff as well as other stuff like that Slum Village track with Kanye, and now they have produced his solo album.
So you gotta be roomies with Kanye's cousin or whoever, then you'll get a deal

He's got an okay voice...

What?! Beautiful struggle is nice. The charlemagne beat is nice, the black girl pain song is tight, listen again its just as good as Quality.

From what i heard Beautiful Struggle is his weakest work lyrically, i admit the beats were nice on a couple tracks, but 75% of them were just garbage, and lyrically he's just lost it. He has the same dilevery on every damn song. Quality wasn't all that great either, except for like 2 or 3 songs, so maybe its just me, but it seems like with every new album kweli has he gets worse and worse. I miss the old Kweli, the BlackStar, Train of Thought, emcee, look at his lyrics from than to now, he's just lost it....
