There's no beef, I'm just hating. Vinnie Paz annoys me with his "I'm the one who nailed the cross to Jesus" and "resurrect the dead body of Jesus" rhymes. What is that? What are you supposed to be.. impressive? Then you have songs called "Heavenly Divine"?? This kid is worse than KRS One AND Killah Priest AND Nas when it comes to contradictions, and he does the repetetive Mike Jones thing with the rhyme style of ___________ (Insert overlooked underground rapper here).
Point blank.... it might be good music, I dunno. I can't get past the unoriginality and annoyance at the repetetive attempts at being "deep" lyrically. So, if you like JMT, it's all good, to each his own. I think Paul Barman's a riot.... just an opinion.
OH.... getting an MPC.... about to start sampling.... GOOD. Hit up stuff that everyone else will leave behind. Grab that "Worshipping God" album or that "Tchaikovski's 5th Blowjob in C Minor" and "Sesame Street does Fragglerock hardcore" and christmas album that everyone else ignores. Kill the samples on those, that way when you come to some real good ass stuff, you do it properly. Don't live off the strength of the sample... resurrect that dead ass piece of plastic and give it meaning. Otherwise, it's just stealing good music.... which we're prettymuch all guilty of now and then.
