Talking bout Primo beats, made me think of this jam, Fades em all by Jamal. I always thought it was super hot and underrated. Could a been a little too slow for the club... Anyone bangin this beat then or now?

This was one of four of my themes song in the Tenth Grade. ODB Brooklyn Zoo, Jeru Come Clean, Group Home Supa Star and Jamal Fades'm All. I don't know to many people who even remember Jamal. I played that single all the way into phukn the ground. The beat was simple as hell but it was a dope ass track. Had that Biggie sample in it. Was that a Primo track? I thought Redman did that one...

To tha beat ya'll..to tha beat ya'll
...I drop lyrics off and on like a light switch...

See I done chalked up another one
when I drop a ton
bring your favorite MC
and bring the light like the sun

I'm the master of the ceremony Mally G
and it'll be a long day before you see another me
I be high in the clouds

trippin love in life it's the illest juvenile
wit my nigga Red/runnin up in

so kill a ass we for those who huff
and make you wanna kill a nigga
after takin one puff..
wit the stuff/shit is tough
but all stress takes away
from the Tanqueary murder in my way hay..
young world peep my method of madness
watch it bring sadness
because its that thirl
it's me against the world(Now who the f**k)
wanna see Jamal I fades em all
I drop lyrics off and on like a light switch

Verse 2

I gets mad wreck when wreck is the concept

stickin tecs to fake niggas necks when they flex
For those that don't know about my flows

Chorus

"Formerly one half of the East Coast/West Coast adolescent rap duo Illegal, along with Snoop Dogg's young cousin Lil Malik, this Philadelphia native got his start with Atlanta rap mogul Dallas Austin's side project. The duo drew comparisons to another child rap duo from Atlanta, Kriss Kross, but Illegal's focus was on hardcore rap and they never hesitated to dis the Kross boys on wax. Illegal's debut album, The Untold Truth, dropped in the fall of 1993 to a lukewarm reception. After disbanding in 1994, Mally G, clearly the more talented member of the duo, got down with Erick Sermon and the Def Squad soon thereafter. In late 1995, Jamal released his debut album Last Chance, No Breaks with the elastic support of heavily funky production from the Green Eyed Bandit. Jamal's pistol-whipping lyrics brought him from boyhood to manhood on the microphone and, despite his relative youthfulness, brought him respect as a hardcore lyricist. The singles "Fades 'Em All" and "Unfukwittable" were memorable, as was the inspired polished funk of producers like the E-Double, Redman, and Easy Mo Bee. The album also featured guest appearances from fellow funketeers Redman, Keith Murray, and Sir Nose himself, George Clinton. Jamal continued his work on Def Squad projects including El Nino in 1998. Yo I'm lookin' at the 12 inch right now and it says: "Produced by Reggie Noble and Rockwilder for Funky Noble Productions." Yeah this was like my anthem beat when it first dropped. Jamal & Malik were way ahead of their time. The world was just not ready for them at the time. Does anybody know what happened to them? I know Malik went back to the west coast and fell off; but what happened to Jamal?
