yea its a synthesizer.

but you would need to connect it properly. thats what i had problems with

i suppose you would need a mixer and hook up the keyboard to that then the mixer to the comp, and record via that way. and not midi.

or somethin to that nature

there are a couple ways to do this, ^ that is one way.
lemme look at it some more, cuz i gave up when i couldnt figure it out and got reason

With that keyboard u can not load up .wav files only standard MIDI Files. If u plan on usin these keyboard jus to control sounds in your computer then buyin this is a waste of time but if u want to use the actual sounds from it then this would be an ok keyboard to go with. You come out better lookin on ebay b/c with that price you could prolly get somethin a lil better.

i say no to this. you would be better served coppin an older module aloing the lines of the jv 1010 and a cheap midi keyboard. if you want a sampler, you'll have to look elsewhere towards either an asr or a higher end keyboard, the motif classic is now at around $1000...

oh shit i aint even see the other question. no u cant load up ur own files. lol. but u can record the default midi sounds in there
