Is there any way you can upgrade RAM externally, like an external harddrive?

I wandered over to our sponser at Crucial and found out that my shitty PC only accepts up to 512mb RAM and no more....That was a really wack thing to find out since i was about to order more RAM soon to make a GIG.....So im like fuck!, how do i still upgrade without buying a new computer?....I know that external harddrives exist, but what about RAM?......Anybody got a solution?

The main thing to do would be to get a new motherboard, this way you can have lots of RAM on it. Mine accepts up to 4GB of RAM! Hahaha man I need to buy some more.

I have an Asus board much like Fade's with 2gigs of Kingston RAM, and will upgrade to the max of 4 eventually. It hasn't failed me yet when using both Reason, ProTools, Plug-ins etc all at once.

Dam Cope!----Thats awsome, i can only surf tha net and make a beat at tha same time, and sometimes it trips even doin that cuz a tha amount of effects and tracks applied.

LOL! Deep concentration huh?

Also, those boards Fade and I got have dual channel FSB, meaning they can use 2 or 4 ram blocks at the time, versus old ones that can old use one RAM block at the time (at least that's my understanding).
I built mine for approx. USD 880, and Denmark is usually 33% more expensive than the states, if not more.

Anyway, if you can afford it it, I would suggest upgrading your's as much as you can, or saving up for a new self built one.

Can you explain to the stupid Dane what the hell that meant?

Deuce, I think you might be right regarding the parallel price thing, and I know your economic situation all too well (it's almost common knowledge in this forum ;) )
