Is there a better reverb plug-in for Cubase SX?

Hey,

I know there is a Vst Reverb plug-in by a developer called Timeworks that is reasonable, but are there any others that don't have that metallic ring that the Cubase ones have? Or does anyone know of a way to EQ or tweak that metallic-room sound out? Thanks.

I know what you mean about that metallic ringing sound actually, although I've never been able to hear it when its mixed in - basically I've only ever noticed it when I solo the track in Cubase, and even then with more subtle reverbs its still not that obvious.

I'd still be interested in another plugin though....not just for reverb too.[I can't go searching now, I'm off to Italy to visit my family for a week, but I'm sure I could find a few on the net - I'll post any results when I do find some decent plugins though]

Wow dude, your from Estonia!! Thats cool! Encino Man! pardon the ignorance, I like to make stupid jokes. Thanks for the suggestions, yeah the 4080 is pretty good, used to have it, need to get it back, thats the one that Timeworks makes I think. Spin audio sounds promising!

pharoah changing your reflection setting MIGHT get rid of the metallic ring (sometimes) i have used most reverbx and it doesn't get a lot better than reverbx (timeworx) has all the neccessary controls (i always put my verb in a bus and eq it with voxengo gliss eq (use gliss eq for nearly all my eqing)
apart from reverbx princeton room (vst) is the shit also other decent ones are that silverspike reverb it (i think that's what it's called) and the tc electronics vst verb. waves ir-1 is the shit also but it is cpu hungry and the waves rennaissance verb is quite nice also

my favourite tho (the only ones i use now i know what my favourites are) are reverbx and princeton room (i use ir-1 2 it rocks but is really cpu hungry)

it is good to learn your gear.......... including plugins

Thats a lotta verb to check out, thanks tho, appreciate it, shouln't ever need another verb plugin again after this, you mentioned heaps :) I have the 4080L now and Spinaudio M2. I'll play around with the reflection settings like you mentioned, thanks for the tips, I'll also check out ReverbX and Princeton just so I have more options. I heard tho that the M2 is the hottest, like its the only verb you'll ever need... got really good reviews. And yeah for sure I like to know all I can about what is available in terms of plugins.

Oh yeh, I take it Voxengo Gliss is an EQ-ing plugin, but how do u put verb in a BUS, and what exactly does that do to the plugin or sound?

eqing verb is very important...... give you great sonic control you can take mud out or darken your verb make it more shimmerry etc. another good thing to try (p.s. in the bus the verb is always 100% wet and you send as feed as much verb in as you want) is gating / and or compressing your verb (if you're going to gate and compress gate first then compress).... compressing verb makes your performances dynamics sound more controlled while retaining dynamics (realy nice compressing room mics with drums, horns amped electric guitar etc. i.e just about anything especially drums tho.......
have fun do some googling there is alot of good info out there

Aight - Cubase SX3 which hasn't been out all that long apparently has a really good reverb plugin that comes with it, but I guess not many people will have that [I know I wont be purchasing it any time soon]

There a whole load of reverb plugins using convolution technology [look it up, I won't be able to give an adequete defintion, lol...] like the Waves IR-1 Parametric Convolution Reverb that have come out. The problem is they are all really expensive.
