Is the Yamaha Motif XS a good Standalone Workstation?

Im getting ready to purchase and I have a few pieces that Im already using: Roland XV-5080 rack,SE-1 rack and thinking about adding the Motif XS as much main sequencing piece.I was thinking about getting either a Akai Mpc2500 or Roland MV8800 for sequencing until i saw all of the new sampling features in the Motif XS.I want a simple midi sequencer thats easy to use and I can understand easily.

Do you think the XS can stand up against a stand alone workstation when compared to a MV8800 or an Akai MPC 2500?

Can I use my sounds from my racks inside of the XS sequencer?

damn, you got this gear and know jack shit about midi, why dont you just get aquinted to the whole midi thing before spending a few more bucks on just more questionmarks.

you cannot compare a keyboard's sequencing to an MV or MPC. the sequencing of a professional midi sequencer is unrivalled.

Sure, the motif will be able to sample sounds, so you can put loops from your XV module into the motif, but that's freakin tedious.

the motif XS will be a great standalone workstation. if you want to utilize all the sounds you have in the studio, then be patient and wait for a XS module to come out, and buy a MPC or MV.

Its A New Engine And Tottaly Different Capabilities Than The Regular Motif, There For You Cant Even Compare The Mv Which Is Amazing With The Xs Which Is Going To Be Fu$$ing Nuts As Well!!! If You Have The Money Then Its A No Brainer, But If Your In A Bind Be Patient And Wait For The Opinions Of Xs Users...
