That was a good interview! He confirmed what I was sayin' all along about musicians vs. producers. It's good to see that my mind is on tha' same track; or atleast headed in the right direction.

im feeling buckwild he defo confirmed some of the thoughts i was having in particular developing my own recording process.

and i aint trying to be a musician either, and some fool that buy all these big expensive keyboards aint muscians neither.

but u know how he says he gets musicians in to do things for him, i always thought that way of workin was kinda weak.

like when u see in credits 'Produced By Eminem' but then you read on and see 'Drum programming, bass and keyboards by Mike Elizondo' wtf???

im probably just a control freak, id never get someone else to do shit for me.

The thing is you may not know how to play a particular instrument but know the sound you want, you get somebody in who does, you are still the 'producer' of the track. Take Quincy Jones for example, he gets the producer credit, but doesn't play all of the instruments, he orchestrates the sound. James Brown, too. Look at the credits on old LP's, you'll see somebody as the producer, but on the instruments you got a whole lotta people. Hip Hop originated the producer vs musician debate.
