do u get inspiration from other artforms then audio?

i ounce showed an interview with QUENTIN TARANTINO it was quite interesting he says that before he starts to write a movie (yes he not only a director he also a writer) he goes to his basement where he has lots of old records he got it arranget like an old record shop with tons of old rare records from all over the world.then he listenes to some records and gets ideas for makin a movie.so he first listen to the soundtrack then he makes the movie!"!!! aint that crazy and genius at the same time?

let say u watch a movie or u see a picture and it inspires you to do the sound for it!

other music is usially never an inspiration when on a project. i guess my perspective and everything from life that helped develope it, i like to write songs that has food in it. something that people can put in their mouth and chew up and swallow and be full for a few days. unfortunetley i have not developed my skills that far, however many people here have. gl

yes books are huuuuuuge inspiration how the hell could i forget about that.when i read a book from stephen king it gives me huge inspiration to write music to the shit thats happenin in the book.

For me personally im inspired by people and culture.. Im a huge travel buff.. So everytime i come back from a new place i bring a piece of the culture with me and it ends up in my music...

Listening to other peoples music inspires me the most...I recently went to the showcase section and checked out some of you guys beats and it inspired me to hit the lab and start up some new fire. If I had to choose something other than music that inspires me, I would have to say that certain sounds that I hear when Im just out and about. I was with my family in the mall and I heard some kids sqeeky stroller and it automatically made me think of using it as a background sound on a beat. Ive heard sounds from trucks that made me want to do the same thing. Im all about being creative with my melodies, hearing the same ole ish gets boring.
