50¢ sounds like MASE !!!!!.... I like MASE better....and what do you expect... it's not like the guy lived in the gutter and they found him and decided to put him on... JMJ was wrking w/ him before he died....Please the man is a mumble mouth MC...speak clearily into mic...

Then again...with a live performance, what do you expect a rapper to be doing...dance routines and shit? The main reason you go to a concert is to see your fave performers and hear them perform your fave songs live. If you go see underground cats, you go for the music not for fireworks and dancers, etc. But if the crowd gets into it, thats all that matters...

..and inrctyhoodmusic, I completely agree with you. People like to relate to music. Myself, I'm a battle emcee so I take preference to cats like Cunninlynguists, Tonedeff, the Demigodz, Copywrite, Jakki Da Motamouth, Pack FM, etc. I do to a point like 50 Cent and I got 'Get Rich or Die Trying' (although I prefered his earlier stuff). He's just not one of my top 10 rappers...but I completely 100% agree with you, he's lyrically sharp in his portion of the genre.

Theres a certain degree of wackness that every live musician has when up on stage i suppose - that would partially be because you cant expect anyone to sound just like there cd, but if you truly have talent you can still project yourself in way that shows that you were tha guy that people heard on tha cd close enough and with some real authority... then i think you deserve props. So far 50 has failed to achieve this level of professionalism.

yo. i watch LLCoolJ on the Good Morning Today show do a LIVE concert in Rockafella Plaza....I can be quoted on this..."IF YOU WANT TO KNOW HOW TO DO A LIVE SHOW, WATCH LL" the man work the crowd(the ladies mostly) and did some old skool hard kutz for the guys(I'm bad)and some other kutz...watch people like him and Puffy who know how to wrk a crowd and give a little something for everyone...I was really impress by the concert...I said to myself...that's how you rock a crowd

I saw him live and I thought he was tight...I mean i washigh as hell but he was doin it. I think most people have only seen him at the mtv shit. Thats not his envvironement...i saw him in a lower key show in Albany..he was ill..he jumped down to the same level of the crowd.....I gave him dappage and everything..shit was cool man

yah i seen him on some thing on much music where he was rappin i think in an mtv studio or somthin in front of a small crowd. he ripped it. his backup vocalists were hella on point wich i think is soo important with live hip hop. i mean he was leavin out every other rhyme (on purpose) and his backups were there and on point. i saw some other shit that he did live and it didnt impress me much either. i think if you put him in a club and set him on 200 people he'll give em a good show.

I got Much respect for 50 cent, u gotta luv it when a man goes from being broke as hell, 2 rich as hell very fast

The reason 50 is so hyped is because interscope and eminem spent a lot of money on marketing. Thats the truth, and the only reason why he is as big as he is. I thought all of you'll knew the how industry is corrupt? If u had a major label spending money u can be the next star. End of story......

Jigga said it best "I'm about a dollar what the F#$% is 50 cent?"

50 cent has a sick delivery just listen to that "till i collapse remix" but tony yayo and loyd banks have better lyrics but they're voices aren't as cool.

by the way the best 50 song i ever heard is "fat bitch" if you haven't heard this song download it

you know, there are plenty of ways to keep yourself out of jail... not selling crack is a good start, moving away from the hood with all the money he supposedly MADE from selling crack would be a good second move, maybe trying to get a job-gasp!!!!- there's an idea!! i dont want to here how hard it is and all that drama- everyone has options.

yeah, people who live that life relate to it, and then they want to live it up more, because it is basically endorsed by the artist. sure, "not everyone can be talib", (who no one seemed to care about until quality) but do you really think that the club is very productive? i am glad that the guy is successful, i pray nothing but the best for him in all honesty, but what about the mans soul? has anyone considered that? who cares about his style, his live shows, his status.. all of that is just opinions, differences in taste. i personally do not like him as an artist-in the least. however, my i concern is for the man, not the rest of it.

just thought i would add a different perspective.
