VSTs are awesome. No shame in that lol. You gotta just know when to play with your toys and when to window/shop or rummage for that new lol (Re: Chris' concerns)

I really think there's something to what you said because I'm at the point where I'm trashing good Vst's for better ones but then I wish I never got rid of the older ones and I just get stuck! It wouldn't be so bad if they were all the same...for instance, I have a DDMF L10 EQ that's wicked, I luv that thing... but now the trend seems to be reproducing analog and Focusrites Scarlet EQ is awesome for that, it's like it's a big decision on choosing which one to use!?!?!?!?!

its how i was at one point with wav. files... u gotta know when to say "when", otherwise, u'll get nothin done... they aint goin nowhere.. lol.. u'll get tired of it.. the question is, when? lol

it's the same with drum samples...i try to stay away from sampling new VSTs these days because i know that there's going to be something that i want, that i don't really need. it's hard though. especially since you just mentioned that focusrite eq that i'm about to look up.....thanks Dac (sarcasm at its finest).

Mostly effects but they have really good instruments too.

I agree and the solution for that is to pick the one that you really like. Learn and screen them and until you end up using few VST's
