I'm not really missing much from tinkering with physical buttons. I barely touch the knobs on my MPK Mini. Once you're comfortable enough with your workflow, why bother switching things up just for the sake of trying something new? If it works it works. Also want to point out that I want this bad boy right here...

That's one of the reasons I got the Fire to support my MPK. I sometimes don't even record but use the MPK to tap out a melody from samples I chopped or do some finger drumming, but I then usually just transpose it right to the step sequencer.

When it comes to mixing, I don't think I've ever used my controllers. I find it more complicated to map out the buttons vs. just using my mouse.
