I need a new mic. Whats good on a budget?

I was lookin at one of those Shure m57? or whatever it is , I need something where I can get a quality "broadcast" sound for the illmuzik show, but also something that will be good for recording vox in general.

The marshall Im using now just seems too thin to me , I want something that will pick the full range of someones voice up so I dont have to go back and completely fill the plugin slots up to get a sound similar to what I want.

I cant afford a mic that costs a grand so whats good ?

For hip-hop vocals I almost always pick the SM7b, the 421 or the RE20
