Class you have a Motif and can't get a good clap????.....you have to edit those sounds and the other thing is mix a wood block or layer a snare that has been edited....record a clap layer and flange or reverb then mix, compress tha shidd out of it.....just some ideas if you don't want the ones out of a kit....I make my own though too..

yo class w/ the motiff some drum kits have like 2 claps in them what i do is stack them in the same track so they sound fuller and then open another track and stack another clap from a different kit and them shits claPPP!! try it you wont be disappointed..
