I just moved to London

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know i have finally moved to London! Primarily for my degree in computing at imperial university (which is 3 years long) , but you know i gots to grind the music too being that am in the land of opportunity, for the uk anyway.

All this moving about has been part of the reason why i havent been so active on the site. Lots of paper work, lots of partying, but by then next 2 weeks i should be more settled and maybe i will meet some of the other london guys that are on here. The uni got a radio station over here so maybe ill get onto that somehow, get things rolling.

Anyhu thats just a little update cuz i havent posted properly in a long time.

Im in the same boat as you at the mo AF i just moved into my own place to go to uni, started my course about 2 weeks ago now and its been all good so far especially the partying ! i've not been on much either due to not having my own PC at the mo but that should be sorted in the next few days along with a new setup to get back to making music !

im at newport uni its mainly an arts uni etc i'm doing creative sound and music which basically helps me become and a better producer and a decent pro tools engineer while im at it !

damm rae is double booked, lol, but most artists seem to prefer going to other places in europe other than london.

koko is aight id compare it to scala its similar in style and setup.

are u in beit halls btw? if u wana check out some music shops in london, go to tottenham court road. theres loads just about 5 mins walk from Club Rouge. they got Turnkey, etc. If you want a Digital Village, just hop onto the tube and go to High Barnet station.

some of my friends are at imperial now, most in year above cos im year above you, but 1 or 2 are in your year. im at nottingham uni now in 2nd year, getting damn hard.

make sure though that you stay on top of ya work, keep music 2nd cos at end of the day, you there for a reason. where u been going out? which clubs?

hey man, am staying at Orient house out in Fulham. i went to tottenham court road last week, great place, got some speakers from turnkey. work load at IC is pretty hefty, its just week 2 and sometimes i get home at 6, or like friday i came back from the labs around 9. Am not a big time clubber so havent been to that many places. Freshers week we went to westwood and he was wack. am definately staying on top the work though, i still get time for beats on the weekends, and thats alot of time for music to me. Oh yeah if all goes well, am soon gona meet kevin mark trail's manager at the emi offices near hammersmith, so ama build up some connects over here.

yep, ucas. if you wana apply to imperial try and send your app as soon as possible so you get an early interview which wont mess with you during exams in january or so. i think if you have a fairly good personal statement, and predicted grades of AAB or higher, you will have a good chance of making it.
