i got my motif rack!!!!!

well, after a brief scare, i got my motif rack today!!! does anyone else here have this? i dont like the instruction booklet very much.... can anyone help me with assigning the midi channels (or "parts" as they are called?)... because the instructions are not very helpful at all... i am in "multi" mode, but that seems like a chore figuring out!! i would appreciate any of you with info on this.... hopefully i will have it figured out before anyone posts...

LoL welcome to Team M.O.! I dont have the rack but if the book is anything like the keyboard one is then the best thing for you to do is go to www.motifator.com come and check out the forums there.

yup. thats how i figured it out! they dont say a thing about initializing the multi mode to switch midi channels..... the booklet needs to be seriously revamped in the future. this minor flaw aside, this machine is AWESOME. the one downside being the lack of a scsi port, this thing is the best thing out there, sound wise. i have yet to break open the synth part and create a sound, but the stock sounds are the BEST of any machine, period. (the emu vintage keys gets an honorable mention.) and then.... the pianos are great. i suggest you take a long, hard look at this thing before buying anything else. its a 1000.00, u.s. i am sure i will find more flaws, but this is a great machine. one for the ages!!!! by the way, where was that thread that shows you everything other producers sampled, the one on soundclick. anyone know?

Truth, I think you're asking about the stuff in the Showcase Forum where other producers uploaded their beats, if not disreguard...

nope- actually, i found it already... thanks tho... it was undert "too much sampling-not enough creativity"
