I finally found it! Vocal Removal Tool

Pretty sure I posted this quite some time ago. lol

Never-the-less, a dope program. BUT, it's still not a end-all solution; Like many vocal or music removal techniques it doesn't work for every song. Mono tracks are it's enemy, although there are some ways to get around that if you're creative enough.

I knew somebody posted this a long time ago...and it wasn't available when you first posted it because I remember thinking I gotta have this and I went to order it but they hadn't released it yet.

But yeah you're right, they used a song with great separation to demo it BUT I can say it works better than anything I've seen yet. I ran a test using the sample in the latest Sample Flip and it did pretty good. I was really impressed. So 2 thumbs up to you for originally finding it (thats actually why I said "I finally found it" in the title because I remembered it being posted here...) I looked all over ill for that post. I even interrogated dp at gunpoint cause I thought he posted it...lol. Props!

LMAO

I've used it on some stuff. Unheard by any besides myself ATM. But I will say it's sampling Maddline Belle, but her older stuffs don't work cause they're in mono. I have done some vocal isolation/removal after doing my own stereo removal. It's an ingenious plugin, from what I can tell on the surface, it targets stereo and frequency placement. I'm pretty sure thats the rudimentary form of its performance, still one of those 'Why has it taken this long for someone to do this?' kinda things.

YO I posted this way long ago!!! smh

Edit: ps. Vocal removal the least its dope for. Matter-fact ignore "vocal" completely. for instance, for the samplers, image the possiblities of this (Instrument isolation) + Melodyn (or a similar program).

One of the threads was the VST thread Dac posted

Yeah, the possibilities are huge! I haven't tried it with Melodyne yet... but I did combine it with a Parametric EQ and that did wonders on those unwanted freqs that you get with centered vocals. That combination isolated instruments very well too, not perfect, but the average joe would never notice the 'hidden' transients with a beat around it.

As for who posted it first, I remember this being posted way before the VST thread that I did...lol but it doesn't matter I got this mofo now! =)

I think if I tried to run that my computer would punch me and run away.

Good News!

Hey I just checked it and this thing doesn't use up very much processing. I feel like your computer would still be your friend. (just in case you may be thinking of getting it, plus it has the free trail with the infamous noise segments, ofc.)

Just to inform those that are interested in this, Mash Tactic and Spline EQ is the best combination that I've found for isolation thus far. The ability to 'see' not only exactly what freqs you're allowing to pass, but how much is passing is an awesome combination. Spline EQ is just about the perfect partner for Mash Tactic. You won't be disappointed.
